Mark Travis & Fred Johntz

Mark Travis is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama and a former creative consultant to film director Mark Rydell. He has directed TV series, documentary and film (Going Under, Warner Bros). Over the past 20 years he has also directed 60 theatre productions and received over 20 theater directing awards. Mark and his partner Fred Johntz, both Hollywood writers and directors, have consulted on studio films, network television shows, independent features, shorts and theatrical properties. They have helped writers, actors, and directors develop their ideas, scripts and stories from concept to completion on the page, stage, or screen. They have taught a variety of workshops in the US, Germany, London, Poland, Cuba and Japan. Mark is the author of the highly acclaimed books: The Director's Journey and Directing Feature Films, and is currently writing Lifestories: The Art and Craft of Autobiographical Storytelling.
